Hillsboro has all kinds of activities to keep your body healthy and relieve your stress.
Hillsboro Summer Recreation is a great way for your kids to be involved and hang out with their friends during the summer!
There are summer rec programs for:
- T-Ball (5-year-olds)
- Little League (9-12 years)
- Babe Ruth (13-15 years)
- Girls' Softball (9-14 years)
- Golf Lessons (7-year-olds)
Children have practice and play in games agains other towns. If you'd like your child to be involved in summer rec, please fill out the Summer Recreation Form.
Goose River Golf Club
Located on the beautiful Goose River in Hillsboro, North Dakota, the Goose River Golf Club offers both the recreational and experienced golfer a great round. This beautiful 9-hole, par 35 course is open to the public. Goose River Golf Club is located one-half mile north of the Subway in Hillsboro at I-29 Exit 104.
Ladies' Day is Tuesday starting at 1:00, and Men's Day is Wednesday after 3:00 p.m. Ladies' and Men's Days start the first Tuesday and Wednesday in May and run through the last Tuesday and Wednesday in September. Meals are also available these days.

Hillsboro's Woodland Park is a great place for picnics, family gatherings, or your special event. The park has many activities available like fishing in the Goose River, swimming in the pool, feeding the wildlife, or having fun on the playground equipment. In the winter, there is ice-skating, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. Plus, there is primitive camping along the Goose River.

Hillsboro has a large outdoor swimming pool located in Woodland Park. Featuring a large kiddie pool, diving board, and lifeguards on duty, the pool is open from the beginning of June until the middle of August.. The cost is $2 per person.

Family Swim: Mon., Tues., Thurs., Fri., 6 to 7 p.m.
Lap Swim: Tues., Wed., Fri., 5 to 6 p.m.

Hillsboro's new skate park is located next to the elementary school. It's the perfect place to try out a kick flip, an Ollie, or a little grinding. The skate park has a slide and ramps to test out your skills.

Hillsboro's 24/7 Fitness Center is open to everyone. Our new facility recently opened with more than four times the space to get your workout on! Our very reasonable membership fees make the Fitness Center a great option to get or stay in shape.

Hillsboro Events Center
The Hillsboro Events Center includes the 24/7 Fitness Center, free-weight area, and gymnasium. The Hillsboro Events Center is also open to walkers for exercise. Many activities take place at the Hillsboro Events Center, including high school basketball, volleyball, and wrestling. Plus there are activities for the youth like indoor softball when it is too cold to be outside.

The Annual Hillsboro 5K Run/Walk & 10K Run is held each year on the third Thursday in June in conjunction with Hillsboro Days. All proceeds from this event go to a Hillsboro charity. Check out the details at www.runhillsboro.com.
