City of Hillsboro
With a population of more than 1,600 people, Hillsboro has many amenities usually found only in larger cities, including K-12 education, medical facilities, parks, a pool, and golf course. Hillsboro is home to four churches: Our Savior's Lutheran (ELCA), St. John Lutheran (LC-MS), St. Rose of Lima (Catholic), and United Parish (UMC-UCC). Plus, our residents enjoy the availability of many retail stores, including grocery, drug, flower, and gift stores.
Housing in Hillsboro is plentiful and varied, with existing homes, twin homes, and apartments, plus lots for your new home. The city of Hillsboro has low-cost, city-owned utilities and recycling services. Additionally, we have telecommunications providers that bring high-speed Internet, cable TV, and telephone services to the area.
Whether you are looking for a small, rural community with a low crime rate to raise a family or a convenient town for your business, Hillsboro has what you need.
